Marsini Cleaning was started in 1994 by Atlantic City native Barbara Rando Marsini. Barbara is the wife of a jeweler (Marsini Jewelers) and the mother of five children. Suffering from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, she constantly cleaned everything in site repeatedly. Refusing to take medication, Barbara chose a form of cognitive behavioral therapy. Barbara's doctor advised her cleaning was a great form of therapy for her. Taking his advice she kept a few clients per week on her own. After some time word of mouth got her to a point where she could no longer handle the work by herself.
